Gannon Men's Basketball Team Hosts Central State Monday Night in Final Non-Conference Game

The Gannon men's basketball team hosts its final non-conference game of the season Monday night against Central State.
The Gannon men's basketball team continues a three-game homestand Monday, February 7 with its final non-conference game of the season against NCAA Division II Independent Central State (Ohio) at the Hammermill Center. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Gannon dropped to 10-9 overall and 2-6 in the PSAC Western Division with a 73-58 home loss to defending Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) champion Indiana (Pa.) Saturday afternoon. The Golden Knights will be trying to avoid their second three-game losing streak of the season. They will also be trying to avoid four straight home losses for the first time since the 1995-96 season.

Central State rides a three-game win streak into Monday's game after consecutive victories against Urbana (109-105 in overtime), King College (86-82) and Salem International (87-73). The Marauders, who advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament last season, already own a 78-74 home victory against Gannon on December 7.

The Gannon-Central State series has been an even one throughout the years as neither program has been able to win more than three games in a row. Central State leads the all-time series 7-5, but is only 2-5 at the Hammermill Center. The Marauders are 5-0 against Gannon at home.
