The Gannon women's basketball team continues its quest for a regional championship when it hosts Seton Hill Saturday, March 13 in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Semifinals at the Hammermill Center. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. The Lady Knights have been ranked No. 1 in three consecutive
USA Today ESPN Top 25 polls. The winner will play the California (Pa.)-Millersville winner Monday, March 15 for the regional championship and a berth in the NCAA Division II Elite Eight.
Head coach
Cleve Wright's squad is the lone undefeated team in NCAA Division II. Gannon has won 34 consecutive games, representing the second-longest streak at any level of the NCAA behind only UConn's 72-game win streak. Gannon (34-0), Division I UConn (33-0), Division I Nebraska (30-0) and Division III Amherst (30-0) are the only undefeated women's teams remaining in the NCAA.
Gannon's 34-game win streak ties the NCAA Division II record for consecutive victories in a season. It also represents the fourth-longest overall win streak in NCAA Division II history.
