ERIE, Pa. - The Gannon men's water polo team bounced back from a loss Friday night to sweep a pair of matches on Saturday at the Carneval Athletic Pavilion. Gannon beat Salem International this morning by a 10-2 score before taking care of Washington & Jefferson 21-12. 

Against Salem International Gannon jumped to a 5-2 lead after the first quarter. The Golden Knights scored twice in the second quarter and three times in the third while also holding Salem scoreless. Six different Golden Knights scored in the match including Tytus Kwiatkowski's (Northbrook, Ill. / Glenbrook North) team-high four goals. 

Goalkeeper Neal Zoellick (Homewood, Ill. / Homewood-Flossmoor) had 10 blocks in the game. Ryan Wells scored both of Salem International's goals.
In the nightcap, Washington & Jefferson jumped out to a 2-0 lead before going on an 12-2 run, leading to the 21-12 victory. 

Greg Naranjo (Coral Springs, Fla. / Stoneman Douglas) led Gannon with six goals, scoring at least once in each quarter. Ben Syme (Victoria, B.C. / Claremont Secondary) and Phil Myrick (Erie, Pa. / Cathedral Prep) each added three goals 

Zoellick had 10 blocks and three steals. Daisuke Takagi (Tsukuba, Japan / Namiki) assisted on six Golden Knight goals. 

Gannon improves to 5-5 overall and 4-2 in CWPA matches. Gannon will play tomorrow, Sunday, October 3 at Penn State Behrend. The match will kick off at 1 p.m.
