Gannon Baseball to Open Conference Play Against Wayne State

After eight consecutive games postponed due to inclement weather and poor field conditions, the Gannon University baseball team will host two doubleheaders against the Wayne State Warriors (2-6) at noon Friday, March 21 and Saturday, March 22.

The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) competition-opening contests will be held at Gannon University Field.

The Golden Knights last saw action at the Gene Cusic Tournament in Fort Meyers, Florida against University of North Dakota. The split twinbill put Gannon at 2-4 this season.

Greg Radwan (Farnham, N.Y./St. Francis) leads Gannon batting with a .529 average in 17 at-bats. The sophomore tops the Golden Knights with eight runs.

Jonathan Dziomba (Williamsville, N.Y./St. Joe's Collegiate) and Kolten Hoffman (West Middlesex, Pa./West Middlesex) each have five RBI.
