Toupane helped the Gannon men's basketball team split a pair of games against Mercyhurst and Slippery Rock, averaged 15 points and eight rebounds during those two games. The senior began the week with nine rebounds at Mercyhurst, finishing one shy of his career-high. He concluded the week with 27 points and seven rebounds during a 71-66 victory against Slippery Rock, shooting 54.5 percent (6-11) from the field and 93.8 percent (15-16) from the free throw line. Toupane capped a Gannon rally from a 39-30 deficit by draining two free throws to push the Golden Knights in front 41-40 with 13:15 remaining. After falling behind 58-50, Toupane connected on back-to-back tough jumpers to spur a 13-2 rally. Ten of those 13 points came off the shooting hand of Toupane, including his consecutive baskets that gave the Golden Knights a 63-60 edge with 35 seconds left. He went 8-for-8 from the line during the final 18 seconds. With three seconds left. Gannon found Toupane behind the defense on an inbound play where he was then intentionally fouled going up for a lay-up. He hit both free throws and then two more after being immediately fouled again to seal the 71-66 victor. In all, Toupane scored 18 points during the final six minutes. His 15-of-16 free throw chart represented the most free throws made and attempted by a Golden Knight since 2016 Athletics Hall of Fame inductee Geoff Husted went 17-of-19 during a 75-67 victory at Ashland on February 14, 2004.
