Costa won the 184-pound division at the Mount Union Invitational last Saturday, helping the Gannon wrestling team finish second out of nine programs during the Golden Knights’ first action of the season. The redshirt freshman won a pair of one-point decisions during his title run after opening the day with an 11-4 victory against Mount Union's Connor Rogers. He defeated Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) opponent Morris Lawson of Seton Hill in the semifinals by a 7-6 count decided on a tiebreaker, before knocking off Emmanuel's Cody Chaney 3-2 in the finals. Costa won his second career title despite being a redshirt freshman after winning the Jamestown Jayhawk Open last year as an unattached wrestler.
