Gannon University Athletics

Danielson led the Gannon men's cross country team to a championship at the Gannon/Mercyhurst Invitational last Saturday. The true freshman finished second out of 35 runners with an 8K time of 28 minutes and 0.6 seconds, placing less than 10 seconds behind the individual champion. In the process, he recorded his best time and best finish this season. Danielson helped Gannon win the Gannon/Mercyhurst Invitational for the second time in three years, capturing the team title in 2012. The Golden Knights have won multiple team titles in a season for the first time since winning three events in 2012 after winning the Davis & Elkins and Gannon/Mercyhurst invitationals. Gannon has finished among the top 13 in all five events this season.
