Thomas-Edwards led the Gannon men's basketball team to a perfect 2-0 week by averaging a double-double with 15 points and 10.5 rebounds during a pair of victories last week at Clarion (78-71) and against Pitt-Johnstown (66-36). The senior forward shot 58.3 percent (14-24) from the field and made both free throw attempts despite shooting left-handed due to an injury. He recorded double-doubles during both games. Thomas-Edwards began the week with 18 points and 10 rebounds in just 22 minutes at Clarion, hitting 9-of-13 shots. He finished the week with 12 points and 11 rebounds in only 24 minutes against Pitt-Johnstown. Thomas-Edwards combined with teammate A’Darius Porter to score 16 of Gannon’s first 19 points against the Mountain Cats. He recorded his sixth and seventh double-doubles of the season, giving him 11 during his two years as a Golden Knight. Thomas-Edwards has reached double digits in scoring 11 times this season and 10 times in rebounding. He is Gannon’s leading rebounder (7.9) and third-leading scorer (9.1).
