Takagi led the Gannon men's water polo team to a third-place finish at the Division II Eastern Championships last Saturday at Salem International. The sophomore also helped Gannon defeat Conncecticut College during a non-conference match last Sunday. He tied for the team lead with five goals in two matches, scoring both of Gannon's second-quarter goals during the Division II Eastern Championship semifinals against Notre Dame (Ohio). Takagi scored during three of the four quarters against Connecticut College. He finished the weekend with four steals, three assists 10 earned kickouts and one field saves.
