Former Mercyhurst Prep High School and Penn State University golfer Jennifer Eberlein enters her third season as Gannon’s head women’s golf coach. The school officially announced her hire on August 17, 2006.
Eberlein earned her Professional Golf Association (PGA) membership in April 2001 and is currently a PGA Instructor at Lawrence Park Golf Course in the summer and the Family First Golf Dome during the winter.
Prior to returning home in 2002, Eberlein was a teaching professional and Director of Junior Golf at the Hank Haney Golf Ranch in Texas. Hank Haney is known throughout the golf industry as Tiger Wood’s golf coach.
Eberlein was a four-year member of the Penn State golf team, graduating in May of 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. The Erie, Pa., native proceeded to graduate from the San Diego Golf Academy in December of 1998 as the class valedictorian. She was also a four-year member of the Mercyhurst Prep High School golf team.
