Expected to compete at heavyweight as a redshirt junior in 2018-19 … began his collegiate career at 197, before bumping up to heavyweight in 2017-18.
2017-18: Compiled a 6-14 overall record as a redshirt sophomore ... opened the season with back-to-back pins at the Mount Union Invitational where he finished fifth ... competed at six opens and invitationals ... finished the season with three pins.
2016-17: Redshirted … placed fifth while wrestling unattached at the John Carroll Open, winning one of three matches.
2015-16: Won six matches as a true freshman at 197 … finished fifth at the Thunderwolf Open, earning his first three career victories … produced his first career major decision with a 13-2 win against Jamestown’s Tyler Aitcheson during the Thunderwolf Open second round … concluded the season with a fourth-place finish at the Jamestown Jayhawk Open, winning three of four matches … suffered his only loss of the event to an NCAA Division I wrestler, before having to declare a medical forfeit in the third-place match.
High School: Wrestled for head coach Tad Harbert at Greater Latrobe (Pa.) High School … was a three-time Westmoreland County Coaches' Association (WCCA) place winner … qualified for the regional championships three times … placed eighth at the King of the Mountain Tournament … produced a 70-43 career record … helped Greater Latrobe place second at the 2014 Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA)Triple-A State Championships … was part of Greater Latrobe teams that were ranked among the nation's top 40 as a junior and senior … named to the honor roll.
