Biography

Baglieri returns as Gannon’s starter behind the plate … transferred to Gannon from Niagara County (N.Y.) Community College prior to the 2011 season.

2011: Was one of four Golden Knights to start every game … started every game at catcher … was third on the team in runs (19), fourth in hits (26) and fourth in RBIs (11) … had the team’s highest field percentage (.995) among players with at least 30 fielding opportunities … posted the third-highest single-season fielding percentage in school history … recorded 174 putouts, the 14th-highest single-season total in school history … reached base as a lead-off hitter 36.4 percent (8-22) of the time … drove in a run 37.5 percent (3-8) of the time when hitting with less than two outs and a runner on third base … recorded six multiple-hit games … produced his first hit in a Gannon uniform during a 2-0 victory against Notre Dame (Ohio) at the Russ-Matt Invitational, starting a string of three consecutive games with a hit … drove in a season-high three runs during a 16-9 win against the University of Mary (N.D.) … went 4-for-4 with four runs and one RBI during a 10-9 victory against Lock Haven, finishing the home doubleheader sweep with five hits and five runs … had three hits in a game twice, performing the feat first with a 3-for-4 showing during a 7-3 victory against Lewis (Ill.) … did it again during a 6-3 win against Clarion, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI … scored twice during the season opener against St. Xavier (Ill.) … opened the season without an error in his first 75 fielding opportunities … was errorless during the last 24 games, a streak consisting of 123 fielding opportunities.

At Niagara County Community College: Played for head coach Matt Clingersmith … was a two-time all-conference selection, landing a spot on the first team as a sophomore and the second team as a freshman … helped Niagara win the region and advance to the World Series as a freshman.

High School: Played for head coach Justin Montgomery at St. Michael’s High School in Niagara Falls, Ontario … was a two-time team MVP … named Athlete of the Year as a senior … helped St. Michael’s qualify for the Provincial Tournament.

Personal: Secondary Education major … has three brothers and one sister … son of Louise and Tony.
