Carson is expected to compete for playing time in the outfield … has agreed to play this summer in the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Summer Baseball League, a wooden bat league which hosted nearly 250 players from more than 115 different universities and colleges in 2011.

2011: Played in nine games, all starts … produced a .310 on-base percentage … recorded his first career hit at Indiana (Pa.) … had two multiple-hit games, producing the first one with a 2-for-4 showing during a 7-6 victory against IUP … went 2-for-3 with one RBI during a 6-3 win against Lock Haven … was errorless in five fielding opportunities.

2010: Did not play.

High School: Played for head coach Joe Lunger at Villa Maria (Pa.) Academy … was a two-time All-District 10 Region 3 outfielder … was a two-sport athlete, earning All-District 10 Region 6 honorable-mention accolades twice as a quarterback at Central Tech (Pa.) High School … led Villa Maria to back-to-back District 10 Class A Championships … received the Unity Award for Community Leadership at Villa Maria.

Personal: Communication Arts major ... has two sisters and one brother ... son of Kathy and Terry Sr.
