Tiffany Crocker

Tiffany Crocker

Crocker begins her second season as a member of the Gannon coaching staff. A familiar name to the Gannon faithful, Crocker made the transition from player to coach after concluding a spectacular four-year career as Gannon’s starting point guard in 2010. In addition to her coaching dutites, Crocker also will also take over Gannon’s Pink Zone initiative this season.

A leader on and off the court, Crocker helped produce two of the most successful seasons in Gannon women’s basketball history, guiding the Lady Knights to 26 wins during her junior year (2008-09) and ending her senior season (2009-10) with NCAA Division II records for most victories in a season (37) and consecutive wins in a single season (37).

“I am excited about Tiffany starting her career as a basketball coach here at her alma mater,” said Wright upon her hiring. “As a player, she was a strong and effective leader. I am looking forward to seeing those qualities mature as a coach.”

During her senior year, Crocker helped Gannon win the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championship and the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Championship. As a result, the Lady Knights made their first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division II Tournament Final Four. Crocker was named to the NCAA Atlantic Regional All-Tournament team and earned All-PSAC West second-team honors for her efforts.

While at Gannon, Crocker helped the Lady Knights qualify for the NCAA Tournament three out of four years, finishing 7-3 in postseason play. During her freshman season, Gannon won the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) title and secured an NCAA Tournament first-round victory over defending national champion Grand Valley State.

Crocker started all 128 games during her career, ranking her second all-time in games played. Crocker’s name appears several times in the Gannon record books. She ranks second in assists (681), second in free throw percentage (.832), ninth in 3-point field goals made (113) and 29th in all-time scoring (793).

Crocker also boasts the school’s third-highest single-season assist total after dishing out 218 as a senior. She also ranks fifth (.863, 2006-07) and sixth (.861, 2008-09) on the single-season free throw percentage list.

Crocker was among the national leaders several times during her career in both assists and assist-to-turnover ratio. She finished her senior year tops in Division II assist-to-turnover ratio (2.99).

In addition to her accomplishments on the court, Crocker earned academic all-conference honors each year she was eligible for the award.
