Biography

Scott is expected to start at shortstop for the fourth consecutive year … enters the season sixth all-time at Gannon since 2000 in assists (242), 12th in walks (41), 15th in doubles (16), 19th in at-bats (383), 19th in total bases (124) and 20th in home runs (3).

2012: Was one of only two Lady Knights to start all 47 games … named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete … received the Division II Athletics Directors Association (DII ADA) Academic Achievement Award … led Gannon in runs (35) … finished second on the team in doubles (10), third in hits (45), third in walks (13), fourth in total bases (61), fourth in on-base percentage (.360) and fifth in batting average (.304) … hit .315 (41-130) against right-handers … reached base 45.7 percent (16-35) of the time when leading off an inning … recorded 10 multiple-hit games and four multiple-RBI games … produced a season-high eight-game hitting streak April 12-19 … hit .480 (12-25) with 10 runs, nine RBIs, four doubles and two home runs during the streak … added a seven-game hitting streak earlier in the season March 16-23 … was held without a hit only six times during the final 34 games … hit her only two home runs of the season during a 10-2 victory against Mercyhurst … went 3-for-3 against the Lakers while producing season-highs in runs (3) and RBIs (4) … had two hits in three at-bats during the opener against Mercyhurst, finishing the doubleheader 5-for-6 with five runs and four RBIs … went 3-for-4 during Gannon’s first encounter with Mercyhurst earlier in the season.

2011: Was a PSAC Scholar-Athlete … received the Division II Athletics Directors Association (DII ADA) Academic Achievement Award … started all 40 games at shortstop … recorded seven multiple-hit games … finished second on the team in runs scored (21) and third in walks (16) … produced a .323 on-base percentage … recorded a .400 (2-5) average with the bases loaded … opened the season 3-for-7 against the University of Mary (N.D.) and Saint Anselm (N.H.) … was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored against Assumption (Mass.) … added two of Gannon’s six hits against Seton Hill … recorded back-to-back doubles against Wheeling Jesuit and Mercyhurst, going 2-for-3 with an RBI during each game … recorded two hits in consecutive games against California (Pa.) and Slippery Rock … drove in a pair of runs with a single against Mercyhurst … was perfect in the field with a season-high six assists against California (Pa.) … recorded a hit in nine of 14 games during the final three weeks of the season.

2010: Saw action in every game as a true freshman, all starts … was a PSAC Scholar-Athlete … led the team in runs (23) … reached base 41.9 percent (13-31) of the time when leading off an inning … hit .308 (8-26) with runners in scoring position … had six multiple-hit games … recorded her lone multiple-RBI game during a 13-8 victory against West Virginia Wesleyan, going 3-of-6 with two runs and three RBI … hit her first career home run against West Virginia Wesleyan … recorded her first career hit and scored her first career run during the season opener against Lewis (Ill.) … had a hit in 20 of 39 games … went 3-for-4 with a run against Ohio Valley … recorded two hits against Lock Haven, Clarion and Edinboro … was 1-for-1 with two walks, three runs and one RBI during a 10-0 victory in the opening game of the Clarion doubleheader … finished 3-for-4 with five runs during the twinbill sweep of the Golden Eagles … ended the season with eight consecutive errorless games, a span of 21 fielding opportunities.

High School: Played for head coach Len Perkins at Anchor Bay (Mich.) High School … named to the all-district and all-county teams twice each … led Anchor Bay to four straight district championships, advancing to back-to-back state semifinals during her junior and senior seasons … helped Anchor Bay win the 2008 MAC White championship with an undefeated record, before winning the regional and quarterfinal championships … was a three-sport athlete … participated in softball, basketball and volleyball … broke the school’s basketball record for assists twice … named Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year in basketball as a senior, as well as Defensive Player of the Year her junior season … earned all-county honorable-mention accolades in both basketball and volleyball … received the MAC All-Academic award three times in basketball and volleyball … earned the honor twice in softball … served as the team captain in volleyball and basketball as a senior … received the Anchor Bay Outstanding Athlete Senior award … named Rookie of the Year in basketball as a freshman … helped the Anchor Bay volleyball team win the 2008 MAC White championship with an undefeated record … was a member of the National Honor Society for three years and the honor roll every year.

Personal: Legal Studies major … has two sisters … is the daughter of Karen and Gary.
