Schwenk will compete for playing time as a catcher and outfielder ... has been one of Gannon's key pinch runners during her first two seasons.

2009: Saw action in 19 games … named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete … scored three runs as a pinch runner against Lake Erie, Bellarmine and Ohio Valley … saw at-bats against Salem International, West Liberty State and Slippery Rock.

2008: Played in 21 games, starting one … was used as a pinch runner in the majority of those 21 games ... recorded her first career start against Palm Beach Atlantic February 29 … stole her first career base against Kutztown March 22 ... scored eight times, but received her only official at-bat against Palm Beach Atlantic during Gannon's spring trip.

High School: Played for head coach Ted Williams at Mercyhurst Prep (Pa.) High School ... earned all-region honors twice as a catcher, landing a spot on the first team as a senior and second team as a junior ... received first and second academic honors throughout high school.

Personal: Elementary/Special Education major ... has two sisters ... daughter of Brenda and Charles Schwenk.
