2024: Aanberg concluded his Golden Knight career with a strong 2024 season, earning multiple postseason honors for his exceptional performance both on the field and in the classroom. He was named to the PSAC West First Team and received All-Atlantic Region Second Team honors… Additionally, Aanberg was selected for the United Soccer Coaches Division II All-Atlantic Region First Team and recognized as a United Soccer Coaches Division II All-America Second Team honoree… He also earned Scholar All-America First Team honors from the United Soccer Coaches…Aanberg is a three-time All-PSAC West selection, having achieved First Team honors in 2022 and 2024 and Second Team honors in 2023… The year 2024 marked his first career All-Region recognition…He appeared in 20 games, starting 19, and had another highly productive season in both the midfield and attack. He finished with two goals and 12 assists, totaling 16 points… His 12 assists led the PSAC and ranked tied for eighth in NCAA Division II…Throughout his career, Aanberg recorded eight goals and 29 assists, placing him tied for seventh all-time in Gannon program history for career assists. Academically, he holds a 3.45 GPA as a Sports Management and Marketing major…Season highlights included four shots against Bloomsburg on November 17, with two of those on goal; one goal scored at Pitt-Johnstown on November 8; three assists against Lock Haven on October 5; and a season-high 97 minutes played in the NCAA Tournament match against Franklin Pierce on November 24… Aanberg's creativity and consistency were key factors in Gannon’s successful 14-4-3 campaign in 2024, which culminated in an NCAA Division II Tournament appearance.
2023: Earned a spot on the ALL-PSAC West second team while appearing in 18 matches with 17 starts … totaled three goals and seven assists for 13 points … tied for fifth on the team in assists … had two assists in win at California (Pa.) (9/30/23) … was unavailable for NCAA Tournament playoff run due to an injury.
2022: Played in 20 matches (starting in 13) for a total of 1,086 minutes ... Finished the season with a career-high 36 shots (14 on goal) ... Tallied 10th career assist and fired a season-high four shots (one on goal) in 1-0 win over Slippery Rock (10/12/22) ... Recorded third career goal in 5-1 win against Daemen (10/5/22) ... Dished out a season-high two assists to help propel the Golden Knights to a dominating 12-1 win over D'Youville (9/19/22) ... Earned PSAC West All-Conference First Team Honors.
2021: Played in 17 games (starting eight) for a total of 957 minutes ... Totaled six assists (the second-highest amount on the team) ... Scored his first career goal (an overtime game-winner) on Oct. 13 at Seton Hill in a 2-1 victory ... Also tallied a season-high four shots in that game ... Assisted on goals at Lock Haven on Sept. 8, at Wheeling on Sept. 25, at Bloomsburg on Sept. 29, at Slippery Rock on Oct. 6 (the only goal of the game), at Daemen College on Oct. 20, and at Pitt-Johnstown on Oct. 27... All of his goals and assists came in road games in 2021... Played a season-high 110 minutes in the 3-3 draw through two overtimes on Oct. 27 at UPJ.
