Recruiting and Eligibility

Be sure to visit the prospective student-athletes section so that you are familiar with some important NCAA rules, as well as the process to become certified for collegiate athletics by the NCAA. It can take time to get test scores and official transcripts sent into and reviewed by the NCAA, so it is important to begin the process early and check back often for any further required information and/or documents.

Admissions

Next, you will need to apply for admission to Gannon University. To do so, use the online admissions application and have your high school transcripts forwarded to the Admissions Office.

Financial Aid

Also, to be eligible for financial aid, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (School Code: 003266).  If you have any questions concerning the form or your application, please contact the Financial Aid Office.

The National Letter of Intent

The National Letter of Intent (NLI) is the agreement that an incoming prospective student-athlete signs with his/her university; the NLI is an offer of an athletic scholarship. The NLI website has information regarding signing dates, the text of the actual NLI, and much more.

Campus Housing

If you want to live on campus, you must apply through the office of Housing and Residence Life. The University housing regulations mandate that all students studying in their first through fourth semesters whose parents/guardians primary residence is outside the 25-mile radius of the University must reside in University housing. Freshmen are assigned to live in either a traditional two-person room style in Finegan Hall or Wehrle Hall, or various sized suite style of North Hall. When a student reaches their third semester of study they can move into a wide variety of University owned apartment buildings. The University also owns and operates three sorority houses as well as one fraternity house.
