Biography
Expected to compete in IM and breaststroke events … held the school records in the 200-yard IM (2:11.84) and the 400-yard IM (4:37.46) until last season … is also a member of the Gannon water polo team.
2010-11: Named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete for the third consecutive season … received the Division II Athletics Directors Association Academic Achievement Award … named to the Capital One Academic All-America women’s at-large second team … landed a spot on the Capital One Academic All-District II women’s at-large first team … produced PSAC-qualifying times in the 200-yard IM (2:17.34) and the 400-yard IM (4:54.45) at the Mid-Season Invitational … posted a time of 4:44.32 in the 200-yard IM at the PSAC Championships … had four top-three individual finishes … helped relay teams secure a top-three finish six times, including three times at the Westminster (Pa.) Relay Meet.
2009-10: Was a PSAC Scholar-Athlete for the second consecutive season … received the NCAA Division II Athletics Directors Association (ADA) Academic Achievement Award … named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 2 women’s at-large third team.
2008-09: Named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete.
High School: Swam for head coach Dave Schultz at McDowell (Pa.) High School … was part of four district championships and two teams that participate in the state championships … served as a team captain … was a two-sport athlete, being named team MVP twice in water polo … helped McDowell win a state water polo championship and record a state runner-up finish … was a two-time all-state selection in water polo, being named to the first team once … graduated as the school’s career and single-season leader in steals and field saves … finished among the all-time top five in career goals and single-season goals … broke the school’s single-season record for assists … finished third all-time in career assists … graduated as McDowell’s Valedictorian … was a member of the National Honor Society … received the Most Outstanding Student award … was a Commended National Merit Scholar.
Personal: Pre-Med/Biology major … has one sister … daughter of Liz and Bill.
