2011: Started six games, producing a 2-2 record … limited left-handed hitters to a .156 (5-32) average … allowed opposing batters to hit only .244 (11-45) with two outs … surrendered two earned runs in 6 2/3 innings during his first appearance of the season, before receiving a no-decision against Notre Dame (Ohio) … picked up his first victory during a 7-3 verdict against Lewis (Ill.), allowing three runs and striking out five in eight innings of work during a nine-inning game … improved to 2-0 with his lone complete game of the season, giving up one earned run during a 6-2 win against rival Mercyhurst.
2010: Made five appearances, all starts … limited opposing hitters to a .200 (6-30) average with two outs … picked up his first career victory with a 1-0 complete-game shutout against Slippery Rock … scattered three hits while striking out five and walking one against the Rock … also started games against Lewis (Ill.), Assumption (Mass.), California (Pa.) and Lake Erie.
2009: Appeared in six games as a true freshman, starting four … limited left-handers to a .200 average (2-10) … made his first career start against Nebraska-Omaha during Gannon’s Spring Trip, throwing six innings … also saw action against East Stroudsburg, Mercyhurst, Slippery Rock, Indiana (Pa.) and Lock Haven.
High School: Played for head coach Richard Murray at Poland Seminary (Ohio) High School … named to the all-conference honorable-mention team as a senior … was a three-year varsity letterwinner … contributed to the 2008 district championship team … graduated with honors.
Personal: Sports Management & Marketing major ... has one sister and one brother ... son of Joyce and Mark ... is a member of the Gannon Dean's List.
