Makay is expected to compete as a base for the third consecutive season in 2016.

2015: Served as a base … helped Gannon advance to the All-Girl Division II finals at the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) Collegiate National Championship in Daytona Beach, Florida, before finishing sixth in the nation.

2014: Competed as a base … helped Gannon advance to the finals of the NCA Collegiate National Championships, before concluding its inaugural campaign eighth in the nation.

High School: Cheered for head coach Carol Greer at Girard (Pa.) High School … helped Girard advance to the national championships at Disney, finishing as the national grand champions … was a member of the National Honor Society … received the Choral, Perfect Attendance and Straight A’s awards … graduated among the top 10 percent of her senior class … named to the Principal’s List … won the 2012 National Choral Award.

Personal: Pre-Med/Biology major … is the daughter of Tammy and Stephen … has six sisters and three brothers … is a member of the Gannon Dean’s List.
