2014: Rankie returns as one of Gannon’s starting linebackers … will serve as one of Gannon’s team captains in 2014 … has recorded a tackle for a loss in 15 consecutive games dating back to the 2012 campaign.

2013: Started all 11 games … named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete … received the NCAA Division II Athletics Directors Association (ADA) Academic Achievement Award … landed a spot on the All-PSAC Western Division second team … led Gannon with 115 tackles, the third-highest single-season total in school history … ranked second among PSAC players in tackles per game (10.5), fourth in solo tackles per game (5.0), fifth in tackles for a loss per game (1.5) and 17th in sacks per game (0.50) … finished 26th among all NCAA Division II players in tackles per game, 30th in tackles for a loss per game and 60th in solo tackles per game … named PSAC and D2football.com Defensive Player of the Week after recording 12 tackles, six tackles for a loss and two sacks during a 40-21 victory against Seton Hill … tied a school record for tackles that resulted in a loss against the Griffins … made a season-high 15 tackles against Bloomsburg and Indiana (Pa.) … finished the season with 10 solo tackles in consecutive road games at Indiana (Pa.) and Lock Haven … reached double digits in total tackles seven times, including each of the final four contests … recorded at least four tackles in every game and at least seven stops in 10 of 11 contests … produced a sack during four of six games September 28-November 2 … recorded a tackle for a loss during all 11 games.

2012: Saw action in seven games, starting six … named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete ... received the Division II ADA Academic Achievement Award ... started the first five games of the season, before being sidelined until the final two contests … finished third on the team in tackles for a loss (7.5), fourth in sacks (2) and sixth in tackles (51) … recorded a season-high 10 tackles during each of the last two games against Indiana (Pa.) and LIU Post … was even with five solo tackles and five assisted stops during both contests … recorded his first career sack in week four against Clarion … added a second sack the following week at Bloomsburg … posted at least four tackles in all seven games he played in … made a tackle for a loss during five of seven contests, including a season-best three against Clarion … averaged 7.3 tackles per game.

2011: Played in every game as a redshirt freshman … named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete … received the Division II ADA Academic Achievement Award … was Gannon’s 10th-leading tackler with 40 stops … saw his first collegiate action during the season opener at Lake Erie … made his first two career tackles during the second game against Shippensburg … recorded a season-high 10 tackles at Clarion … made at least two tackles during nine of 11 contests … averaged 6.7 tackles during the final three games … recorded his first career tackle for a loss against Shippensburg … added tackles for a loss against Edinboro and Clarion.
