ERIE, Pa. – The Gannon volleyball team continued its winning ways Thursday night, sweeping Edinboro 25-15, 25-19, 25-21 in its PSAC West opener at the Highmark Events Center. The Golden Knights overcame an early five-point deficit in the second set on their way to an eighth consecutive victory and ninth sweep of the season. Gannon improved to 9-2 overall and 1-0 in PSAC play.
Gannon turned in an efficient offensive performance, hitting .337 with 40 kills and just nine attack errors.
Abbey Williams (Chicago, Ill./Mother Mcauley Liberal Arts) led the Golden Knights with 10 kills, while
Sydney Wake (Massillon, Ohio/Jackson) finished with nine kills and no errors to hit .529.
Ella Woltman (Munster, Ind./Munster) added eight kills while hitting .467.
