WHEELING, W.Va. – The Gannon volleyball team continued its winning ways Friday morning, extending its winning streak to five matches and improving to 2-0 in MEC/PSAC Crossover play with a 3-0 sweep of West Virginia State at the Alma Grace McDonough Center.
The Golden Knights (6-2) controlled the match offensively, hitting .377 while committing just eight attack errors in the 25-16, 25-18, 25-22 victory.
Ella Woltman (Munster, Ind./Munster) turned in a standout performance with a match-high 13 kills while hitting .524.
Sydney Wake (Massillon, Ohio/Jackson) added 11 kills without an error and hit .423, while
Abbey Williams (Chicago, Ill./Mother Mcauley Liberal Arts) finished with 12 kills.
