LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Gannon women's golfer Cloe Mateo (Sabadell, Spain/Montcau la Mola) has been named the PSAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week after capturing the individual title and leading the Golden Knights to the team championship at the Michael Corbett Fall Classic, held Sunday and Monday at Whispering Woods Golf Club.

Mateo earns back-to-back conference honors after being named to the All-Tournament Team at the William Beall Fall Classic last week before capturing the individual title at the Michael Corbett Fall Classic this week.

The senior from Sabadell, Spain, entered the final round tied for second before carding a 1-over 73 on Monday to finish the 36-hole tournament at 3-over 147 and move into sole possession of first place. Her final round was highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 15th hole.

The Golden Knights finished the tournament at 39-over 615, posting rounds of 300 and 315 to finish 30 strokes ahead of second-place West Chester.

Mateo earned her first PSAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week honor of the season last week after finishing third among 96 golfers at the William Beall Fall Classic hosted by Findlay. She carded rounds of 74, 75 and 73 to finish at 6-over 222 and earn a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

The back-to-back honors give Mateo two PSAC weekly awards this season, accounting for both of Gannon's Women's Golf Athlete of the Week selections this season.
