PAWLEY'S ISLAND, SC– The Gannon women's golf returned to action for the spring portion of the season on Monday, finishing the first day of the Pawley's Island Beach Bash in third place. Gannon has two individuals in the top ten and four in the top 25 heading into the final day on Tuesday.  

THE KNIGHT CAP

• Top 10 - Cloe Mateo (Sabadell, Spain/Montcau la Mola) and Victoria Colmenares (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil/ICL Academy) had stellar performances to begin the spring portion of the season. Both sit tied for tenth at six-over par. Mateo carded a two-over 38 on the front before securing a birdie on the 12th, while Colmenares was just on over (37) coming back towards the clubhouse. 
• Seeing Double - Alex LeCureux was the only Golden Knight with multiple birdies on the day, scoring them on the ninth and 16th holes. She's 12th heading into the final day. 
• Turk-iffic - Playing as one of the individuals on Monday, Samantha Turk (Euclid, Ohio/Villa Angela-St. Joseph) delivered an impressive performance, sitting 11-over and in the top half of the field, tied for 22nd. 

• Team Title - The Golden Knights are just 14 shots back of first-place Tiffin and nine back of Lewis at the top of the standings.
