ERIE, Pa. – Back to the semifinals they go. For a third straight season, the Golden Knights are heading to the PSAC final four after a 104-73 win over East Stroudsburg in the PSAC Quarterfinal round at the Highmark Events Center.
The Golden Knights used an efficient offensive performance and strong defensive pressure to pull away, building a double-digit lead in the first half and never looking back. Gannon shot 43.9 percent from the field and finished with five players in double figures as the Golden Knights improved to 27-2 overall and 15-0 at home.
Pace Prosser (Berlin, Pa./Berlin Brothersvalley) and Mackenzie Morgan (Sydney, Australia/Marist Catholic College North Shore) led the way with 18 points each, while Lucas Morgan (Sydney, Australia/Marist Catholic College North Shore) chipped in 16. With the tally, L. Morgan eclipsed 1,000 career points.
Gannon controlled the game on both ends of the floor, forcing turnovers and turning them into offense. The Golden Knights held East Stroudsburg to just 36.8 percent from the floor, while scoring while scoring 33 points off turnovers.
