AZUSA, CA — The No. 7 Gannon acrobatics & tumbling team fell to Oregon in the NCATA quarterfinal round, 262.510-251.165, concluding the team portion of its season at 6-4. The Golden Knights remained close throughout the duration of the game but were not able to complete the comeback in the team event.
The Golden Knights will remain at the championship venue to see if they will qualify for any individual event finals to take place on Sunday, April 26th.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Gannon remained right in the game early on in the Compulsory event, scoring a 9.75 in the toss heat and trailed by just 1.1 points heading into the second event. Gannon would score a 27.350 in the Acro heat.
The Golden Knights continued to battle just before the half. A score of 9.850 in the open pyramid event closed the gap before the break, but Oregon led 94.350-91.775 at halftime.
In the second half, Gannon scored a 9.550 in the open toss event and 9.375 in the open pass event during Tumbling.
Oregon would outscore Gannon, 84.010-82.940 in the team event, ending the back and forth game.

- Season Finale: Gannon closed the team portion of the season with the defeat to Oregon.
