ERIE, PA - The Gannon University Athletic Department is first in the PSAC's Dixon Trophy all-sports standings through the winter seasons of the 2025-26 competition.

Gannon has won the Dixon Trophy in three of the last four academic years.

The Dixon Trophy standings award athletic programs points based on their teams' finishes in the PSAC championships. Champions are awarded 17 points for first place, 16 for second … and so on. However, if a sport has fewer than 17 teams, the points are prorated based on the number of teams.

Gannon had an overall average of 12.29 points per sport. West Chester is second with an average of 12.00 points. East Stroudsburg rounds out the top three with 11.22 points.

Gannon had an outstanding winter season highlighted by the men's wrestling team capturing PSAC Championship, in an 18-12 dual victory over UPJ. Elsewhere, men's and women's basketball each made their respective PSAC Championship games, the third year in a row on the men's side. Men's swimming concluded its season with a second straight runner-up finish at the conference swimming meet, including winning two races along the way. The women finished seventh and had several successful individuals.

The final Dixon Trophy standings will be announced in May.

Gannon won its first Dixon Trophy title in 2021-22 and then repeated in 2022-23. The Golden Knights finished a close second to Slippery Rock in 2023-24 before winning the title again this past year in 2024-25.
