THE GAME FACTS
WEST CHESTER, PA - The Golden Knights fell to ranked West Chester in a chilly doubleheader on Saturday. Gannon allowed 18 total runs and looked to make a comeback in game two, but fell just short.
Gannon would score first in the first game of the doubleheader but then allowed seven unanswered runs. Dom Costello (North Olmsted, Ohio/North Olmsted) drove home the game's first run in the first inning. Ryan Hood (Latrobe, Pa./Derry Area) took the loss in just over three innings of work.
It looked as if Gannon would complete a comeback in game two of the twinbill. After falling behind 5-0 in the fourth, Gannon would mount a four-run fourth frame to cut things to 5-4. The Golden Rams, however, would respond with three of their own in the frame and take home the doubleheader sweep. Two more games are scheduled for Sunday.
