PAWLEY'S ISLAND, SC– The Gannon women's concluded the Pawley's Island Beach Bash with a third-place finish as a team in their first tournament back this spring semester. 

Gannon saw one player earn a spot in the top ten, as Victoria Colmenares (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil/ICL Academy) went 78-79 over the two days to claim ninth. Two other players reached the top 15, and Gannon's production at the bottom of the lineup was also solid. 

THE KNIGHT CAP

• Top 10 - Victoria Colmenares (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil/ICL Academy) was at minimum two strokes better than her season round average in the two-day event, finishing ninth and Gannon's top finisher. Colmenares tied her career low round of 78 on Monday and followed it up with a 79 on Tuesday, including an impressive two-over 38 on the front nine holes.
• Lucky 13 - Alex LeCureux and Cloe Mateo (Sabadell, Spain/Montcau la Mola) each tied for 13th, shooting a total of 16 over par for the 36-hole tourney. Mateo started the day one under through five and had a solid performance on the back nine (41), while LeCureux went 40 out and 41 back in to finish the day nine-over.
• Turk-iffic - Playing as one of the individuals on Tuesday, Samantha Turk (Euclid, Ohio/Villa Angela-St. Joseph) followed up an impressive day one with an even better second day. Turk tied her career best low round of 82 on Tuesday, carding a birdie on the par five fifth on the front nine. 
• Other Results - Anastasia Lopes (Noverasco di opera (MI), Italy/ISTITUTI DEAMICIS MILANO) finished in the top half (25th) after shooting an 83 on Tuesday ... Emily Donahue (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) was 29th, also with an 83 on the second day card.

• Top Three - The Golden Knights finished third, three shots ahead of fourth-place West Chester and five better than Ohio Dominican. Tiffin secured the team title at 38-over par, while Laura Goetz of the same school was the meadalist (+6).
