Joey Lyons (Wooster, Ohio/Wooster) has been named the PSAC Wrestling Athlete of the Week, it was announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Lyons delivered one of the biggest wins of the weekend at 197 pounds, earning a 5–1 decision over Kutztown's Wayne McIntyre. Lyons, ranked No. 11 by The Open Mat and No. 10 in the NWCA rankings, knocked off McIntyre, who entered the match ranked No. 7 by NWCA and No. 8 by The Open Mat.
With the win, Lyons improved to 22–2 overall this season and remains undefeated in dual competition at 9–0.
In fact, Lyons has now won eight straight matches and and nine of his last ten - he's undefeated in 2026. His last loss came on December 14th.
Gannon will travel to Seton Hill on Wednesday for a dual with the Griffins at 7:00 pm.
