No. 5 Men’s Basketball Earns PSAC West Top Seed, Closes Regular Season at IUP

INDIANA, Pa. – No. 5 Gannon men's basketball closed the regular season in dominant fashion on Saturday afternoon, defeating Indiana (Pa.) 87–69 at the Kovalchick Convention & Athletic Complex to extend its winning streak to 14 games, earning the season sweep of the Crimson Hawks. 

Both teams were featured in the Atlantic Region rankings announced on Wednesday, with Gannon earning the No. 1 spot and IUP checking in at fourth.

The Golden Knights entered the postseason as the No. 1 seed in the PSAC West, finishing the regular season at 26–2 overall and 19–1 in conference play.

Gannon set the tone early and never trailed, building a 44–28 halftime lead before maintaining control throughout the second half. The Golden Knights forced 23 Crimson Hawk turnovers while shooting 47.5 percent from the field.

Pace Prosser (Berlin, Pa./Berlin Brothersvalley) led all scorers with a double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds, adding four assists. Lucas Sekasi (Washington, DC/Jackson-Reed) finished with 13 points, three assists, and three rebounds, while Mackenzie Morgan (Sydney, Australia/Marist Catholic College North Shore) added 10 points.
