Tiffin answered in the third inning, scoring twice to move in front, 2–1. The Dragons then broke the game open in the fifth, capitalizing on a mix of timely hits and defensive miscues to plate four runs and extend the lead to 6–1.

The Golden Knights mounted a late rally in the seventh inning. Cainen Atherton (Mount Union, Pa./Mount Union Area) doubled to center field, and Troiano followed with a two-run home run to left, cutting the deficit to 6–3. Gannon brought the tying run to the plate, but the rally was halted to end the game.

Game 2 – Tiffin 10, Gannon 7

Gannon battled throughout the nightcap but was unable to overcome an early deficit.

Tiffin jumped out to a 4–0 lead in the first inning and added two more runs in the second to push the advantage to 6–0. The Golden Knights responded in the third, as Brendan Koroly (Mars, Pa./Pittsburgh Central Catholic) tripled to right field and later scored on a wild pitch before Troiano delivered a two-run single to cut the margin to 6–2. Parker followed with an RBI groundout to make it 6–3.

The Dragons added three unearned runs in the fifth inning to extend the lead to 9–3. Gannon answered in the sixth, loading the bases before Troiano laced a two-run double to center field to trim the deficit to 9–5.

The Golden Knights continued to chip away in the seventh. A walk to Ian Soto (Florida, Puerto Rico/Academia Cristiana de Manati) and an RBI single by Dom Costello (North Olmsted, Ohio/North Olmsted) brought Gannon within three, and Atherton followed with an RBI double to make it 9–7.
