YORK, PA - Gannon University's
Dylan Ray (Pinckney, Mich./Pinckney Community) &
Libby Kibler (Attica, N.Y./Attica Senior) are the recipients of the PSAC Champion Scholar Award for Men's & Women's Swimming in the winter of 2025-26.
Ray, a junior, is a Physician Assistant major. The Pinckney, Michigan native carries a GPA of 4.0 through 72 course credits completed.
Kibler also carries a 4.0 GPA as she continues her junior season. The native of Attica, N.Y. is an Environmental Science major and has completed 111 credit hours.
Initiated for the 2011-12 academic year, the PSAC Champion Scholar Awards are modeled after the NCAA's Elite 90 awards and honor the student-athlete with the top grade point average who is competing at the site of each of the PSAC's 22 team championship finals.
The selection criteria for the Champion Scholar Awards is nearly identical to that of the NCAA Elite 90 awards, which honor the student-athlete with the top GPA at each of the championship finals sites of the 90 NCAA championships across all three divisions - I, II and III.
Student-athletes must meet the following criteria:
1. Must have completed at least 48 credit hours (which could include accepted credits from previous institutions).
2. Must be utilizing at least his/her second year of eligibility as a student-athlete at your institution.
3. Is an active member on the team's roster and a member of the squad competing in the respective PSAC Championship.
Ray & Kibler become the fifth and sixth Golden Knights this academic year to receive a PSAC Champion Scholar recognition. On the women's side, Kibler is the first Golden Knight to be honored from women's swimming since the inception of the honor. This is the fifth year in a row that Gannon has earned PSAC Champion Scholar in Men's Swimming. Previously,
Ryan Barclay (Knoxville, Tenn./Bearden) (2023-24, 2024-25), Stephen McCallum (2021-22, 2022-23), and Joseph Deemer (2019-19, 2019-20) received the honor.
