ERIE, PA - The 2025 NCAA DII Men's Golf Atlantic/East Regional, hosted this past May by Gannon University, has been chosen as the 3rd place winner in the Best New Sporting Event category from SportsEvents magazine. The award is a recognition of the the publication's annual Readers' Choice Awards.

Gannon University and Whispering Woods Golf Club was proud to host the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Atlantic/East Regional that took place on May 8–10, 2025. The event brought together 20 of the top men's golf teams from the Atlantic and East regions, all competing for a chance to advance to the NCAA Division II National Championship.

Gannon and Davis & Elkins tied for the top team spot at the tournament. 

The tournament was held at Whispering Woods Golf Club in McKean, PA - the home for Gannon golf's home events. The course is one of Erie, PA's premier golf destinations, offering a championship-caliber experience that blends natural beauty with a challenging and rewarding layout.
