The teams first met Oct. 10 at McConnell Family Stadium, playing to a 1-1 draw. Ben Conti gave Seton Hill the lead late in the first half before Rafa Hyde (São José dos Campos, Brazil/Objetivo Aquarius) answered in the 57th minute off assists from Jensen Peake (Staffordshire, England/Friary) and Ryko Bodurov (Columbus, Ohio/Olentangy Berlin).

Gannon earned a 2-0 victory in the rematch Oct. 24 at Dick's Sporting Goods Field in Greensburg. Bodurov broke a scoreless tie in the 56th minute before Hyde added an insurance goal less than 10 minutes later. Ivan Capurro (Uruguay/Escola Ginebró) recorded six saves in the shutout.

Wednesday's matchup will determine which PSAC West team advances to Sunday's championship game.

ERIE, Pa. – The Gannon men's soccer team looks to take another step toward a conference championship Wednesday afternoon when the Golden Knights host Seton Hill in the semifinals of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Tournament.

Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at McConnell Family Stadium.

Head coach Billy Colton's Golden Knights enter the semifinal at 12-3-3 overall after earning a 2-1 victory over Shepherd in Sunday's quarterfinal round.

Per Kristian Lauvstad (Nesoya, Norway) opened the scoring against Shepherd in the 33rd minute with his ninth goal of the season. After the Rams tied the match early in the second half, Hyde delivered the game-winner at 72:01, scoring his team-leading 15th goal of the year.

Gannon finished with a 19-11 advantage in shots, including a 14-8 edge after halftime, while Capurro made three saves to secure the victory.

The Golden Knights enter Wednesday's match after capturing their fourth consecutive PSAC West regular-season championship and earning the division's No. 1 seed with a 7-2-1 conference record.

Seton Hill advanced to the semifinals following a dramatic quarterfinal matchup at West Chester on Sunday. The Griffins and Golden Rams played to a 2-2 draw after 110 minutes before Seton Hill prevailed 4-1 in the penalty kick shootout.

James Aubrey and Felix Knorn scored for the Griffins during regulation, while goalkeeper Jannik Reiss made two saves in the shootout. Seton Hill converted all four of its penalty attempts to secure the victory.

The Griffins enter Wednesday's contest at 7-5-7 overall after finishing third in the PSAC West with a 5-2-3 conference record.

The winner will advance to Sunday's PSAC Championship against the winner of the East Stroudsburg-Millersville semifinal. The conference champion will earn an automatic berth into the NCAA Division II Tournament.
