The Golden Knights opened PSAC play in commanding fashion, sweeping Edinboro in straight sets on Sunday afternoon. It marked their second consecutive sweep after blanking Shepherd on Friday night.
Gannon hit .343 as a team and never trailed in the opening two sets. The Golden Knights controlled the first two frames by double digits before closing out a competitive third to secure the victory.
"I'm very happy to get the win today, and we did it with balance and contributions from a lot of people," head coach
Matt Darling said. "I was especially impressed with Carlee's performance, but I also want to recognize our passers.
Even though we were aced more times than usual, we stayed composed while Edinboro served incredibly well—eight aces with no errors is remarkable. Our team held its ground and found a way to come out on top."
