A year after Indiana (Pa.) spoiled Gannon's quest for a PSAC Championship on its home floor, the Golden Knights flipped the script in emphatic fashion.
Backed by an electric Highmark Events Center crowd, Gannon swept the Crimson Hawks 3–0 (25–17, 25–21, 25–20) on Friday night in a battle of the top two teams in the PSAC West preseason poll.
The Golden Knights improved to 10-4 overall, extended their winning streak to five straight matches, and notched their third consecutive sweep of the season. Gannon is now a perfect 3-0 at home and stands 2-0 in PSAC West action, while IUP dropped to 10-4 and 2-2 in conference play.
Prior to the contest, Gannon softball's Josie Spano and baseball's Lance Slater were presented with the Fall 2025 PNC Achievers award as part of PNC Night festivities.
"I feel really great about the win," said head coach
Matt Darling. "It was a great atmosphere and great energy from the crowd. It's a good win against a tough team."
