Women’s Lacrosse Set to Host Edinboro in Final Home Game

Golden Knights look to make it eight straight wins against Fighting Scots

The Gannon University women's lacrosse team will take the field at McConnell Family Stadium for the final time this season on Thursday, April 24, hosting Erie County rival Edinboro at 6:00 p.m. in a PSAC West matchup.

The Golden Knights (4-11, 1-7 PSAC West) will look to close out their home slate on a high note after a demanding stretch of conference action. Gannon picked up a decisive 16-2 win over Edinboro earlier this month and aims to deliver another strong performance in front of its home crowd.

Offensively, Gannon is led by a trio of high-impact scorers. Caroline Stevens (Syracuse, N.Y./Liverpool) leads the way with 36 goals and 12 assists, followed closely by Charlie Hunter's (Boston, N.Y./Hamburg) 35 goals and 54 draw controls. Ella Todd (Maple Ridge, British Columbia/Maple Ridge Secondary) enters the contest with 99 career goals and will be looking to notch her 100th major milestone in an already impressive career. Todd also leads the team in assists (31) and total points (56) this season.

In goal, Haleigh Manning (Milton, Ga./Cambridge) has recorded 125 saves through 11 games with a .492 save percentage, reaching double digits in saves in seven outings.

Edinboro (2-12, 0-8 PSAC West) comes into the matchup eager to build on moments of progress from its young roster. The Fighting Scots are paced offensively by Rylee Jones and Jacqui Detelich, who have combined 54 goals. Edinboro also notched a win earlier this month against Lake Erie and will look to bring a competitive edge into this county rivalry clash.
