HOW IT HAPPENED
A trend has developed of late for the Golden Knights. Fall behind early, then come storming back, normally with a big run following the intermission. On Saturday ESU jumped out to a a 21-9 lead less than eight minutes into game.

The Warriors still led 29-18 with seven minutes left but Gannon slowly crawled back into the game. Gannon used an 8-0 run at the end of the half to reclaim the lead for the first time since the opening minutes at 38-37 at the half. Justin DeBuck (Broward County, Fla./Pembroke Pines Charter) accounted for the final five points.

After shooting just 33.3 percent in the first half Gannon sizzled in the final 20 minutes, making 23-of-38 shots (60.5 pct.). Gannon outscored East Stroudsburg 61-37 in the half. And the Warriors had no answer for Tasman Goodrick (Sydney, Australia/St. Joseph's College) in the second half. The 6-foot-9 sophomore had 12 points in the first half, then added 15 points in the second half while controlling the boards.

After scoring the final eight points of the first half the Golden Knights added the first ten of the second half to make it 18 consecutive points for a 48-37 lead. Goodrick accounted for six of those points. ESU trimmed the lead to five at 48-43 but back came Gannon with eight points in a row.

ESU was able to cut the lead under double figures just once more, that at 59-50 with just over 11 minutes remaining. Gannon followed with another spurt, this one 12-2 on the strength of eight points by Pace Prosser (Berlin, Pa./Berlin Brothersvalley) and four by Goodrick. That made it 71-52 with 9:15 left and the Golden Knights coasted the rest of the way.
