Gannon Announces PNC Achievers Partnership

First PNC Achiever Recipients To Be Announced Wednesday

ERIE, PA, Feb. 3. 2025 – Gannon University today announced a multi-year partnership with PNC as a participating school in their PNC Achievers program. As part of the program, the University will announce its first two PNC Achievers on February 5th.

The PNC Achievers program recognizes, celebrates, and showcases student athletes who excel academically, contribute through community service, and are engaged leaders on campus.

The PNC Achievers program kicks off PNC's overall 10-year commitment to Gannon University, with student honors events taking place each semester.

"The PNC Achievers program is an investment in tomorrow's leaders," said Jim Stevenson, PNC regional president of Northwestern Pa. "Teamwork and leadership come naturally to student athletes, and we are proud to team up with Gannon to recognize the hard work of those who are applying their skills to help move the community forward."

In selecting student athletes for this honor, Gannon University will seek individuals who excel in all three categories & meet additional University requirements, including:
  • -Maintaining an overall 3.5 GPA & being named to the Dean's List in every semester on campus
  • -Participate in a minimum of 10 hours of community service each semester
  • -Possess exemplary leadership skills, both in and out of competition
Gannon University is committed to teaching the values related to this program and is proud to be more than a dozen collegiate schools across the country to partner with the PNC Achievers program.

"Gannon Athletics is honored to have been selected to participate in the prestigious PNC Achievers program," said Lisa Goddard McGuirk, Director of Athletics. "We are so appreciative of PNC's continued support and the opportunity for our student-athletes to be recognized every semester for their leadership and commitment to excellence."
