Volleyball Earns 12th Sweep of the Season, Extends Win Streak to Three

The Gannon volleyball team extended its winning streak to three matches on Friday night, securing its 12th sweep of the season in a 3–0 road win at Seton Hill.

The victory also marked win number 20 on the season, as the Golden Knights improved to 11-0 in PSAC West play. A marathon second set proved decisive as Gannon pulled away for the sweep.

The performance also follows Gannon's appearance in the Atlantic Regional Rankings, which were announced in alphabetical order earlier this week.

"I'm proud of the team for grinding out the win tonight, and the second set was particularly good for us because Seton Hill competed to the end," said head coach Matt Darling.
"Sydney Wake (Massillon, Ohio/Jackson) was great and scored some huge points for us. Kasey Smith (Meadville, Pa./Villa Maria) was big on the block tonight, and blocking bailed us out several times."
