Volleyball Sweeps IUP, Clinches West; Arslan Surpasses 4K Assists

The Golden Knights passed another road test on Saturday evening, rolling to a straight-set sweep at IUP to complete the season sweep of the Crimson Hawks.

The win marked Gannon's 11th sweep of the season and extended its unbeaten run in PSAC West play, while senior setter Bengisu Arslan (Ankara, Turkey/Private Çankaya Doga Anatolian) surpassed 4,000 career assists, becoming just the third player in program history to reach the milestone.

"Tonight was a great performance by our team, and it wasn't just the stats. We had terrific energy and really took the fight to IUP," said Head Coach Matt Darling. "Nehir was on fire, and we played a really clean match. It was a fitting performance for a division clincher.
