Gannon Volleyball outside hitter Sydney Wake (Massillon, Ohio/Jackson) has been named the PSAC West Volleyball Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon. 

The recognition marks the first PSAC weekly honor of Wake's career and the fourth weekly award earned by the Golden Knights this season.

Wake delivered a standout offensive performance in Gannon's two-match slate, totaling 31 kills while averaging 3.88 kills per set and hitting .333 on 63 swings. 

She opened the week with 15 kills in the road win at Edinboro before posting a season- and career-high 16 kills the next day against Cedarville. 
Wake also added six block assists and 36.0 total points across the two matches.

Her efforts helped Gannon remain undefeated in PSAC West play and maintain its first-place position in the division.
