Tang Earns All-PSAC Honors to Lead Gannon Harriers at PSAC Championships

EDINBORO, Pa.Robert Tang (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon) earned All-PSAC honors to lead a contingent of 11 Golden Knight harriers at the 2025 PSAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning. A total of 15 teams took part in the race with Gannon finishing ninth.
A sophomore, Tang was one of nine freshmen or sophomores competing for a young Gannon squad. He moved up from 40th place in last year's race to cross the finish line in 29th place. He covered the 8K course at the Doug Watts Cross Country Course in a time of 26:11.20.
 
SHIPPENSBURG TAKES HOME TEAM TITLE
Shippensburg easily won the team title with a total of 48 points with East Stroudsburg a distant second with 81 points. Gannon totaled 232 points to come in ninth. A year ago the Golden Knights posted their best finish, coming in fifth.
 
TANG, FULTZ PLACE IN TOP 50
IUP's Mike Formica won the individual crown with a time of 24:39.10, narrowly edging Shippensburg's Garrett Quinan (24:40.30). Jonathan Thrush of California (Pa.) was third at 24:51.70. In addition to Tank coming in 29th Caiden Fultz (Castalia, Ohio/Margaretta) was 50th. The freshman posted a time of 26:56.00. Luke Malena (Medina, Ohio/Cloverleaf), an All-PSAC performer a year ago, was 57th at 27:01.20.
 
UP NEXT
The Gannon harriers are scheduled to compete in the Go Fast River Run hosted by Lock Haven on Saturday, November 1. The race will give the competing teams a chance to run the same course that will host the Atlantic Region Championships the following Saturday at Lock Haven. That will serve as the qualifier for the NCAA Division II National Championships on Saturday, November 22.
