ERIE, Pa. – Redemption. That's what the Gannon men's soccer team is seeking after a 3-1 loss a week ago to Adelphi in their last time out. The setback left the Golden Knights at 3-2-0 overall. The Golden Knights and Post will meet in a neutral site game on Wednesday, September 25 with Lock Haven University hosting the first-ever meeting between the two teams.

Head coach Bill Colton scolded his team afterwards while pacing the greatest blame on himself. The Golden Knights have had a week to digest the defeat. Now Colton will see which team will get off the bus, the one that has outscored the opponent 14-2 in its three wins or the one that had just one goal in the two losses.

Gannon began the year ranked seventh in Division II and began the season with an impressive 5-0 win over a Lake Erie team that made the NCAA Tournament a year ago. The Golden Knights fell out of the rankings with a 1-0 loss to Saginaw Valley State but climbed back in last week in 13th place after a 4-0 win at Ashland and a 5-2 decision over Wilmington (Del.).

Post has won two matches in a row, including a 4-1 win over Wilmington on Saturday, to improve to 3-2-1. After allowing 12 goals in the previous two matches the Eagles have given up just one goal in the two wins.

Following Wednesday's match Gannon opens PSAC action on Saturday, September 28 hosting Seton Hill at 3:00 p.m.
