Woodworth has huge day with 11 points

ERIE, Pa. – The Gannon women's lacrosse team celebrated Senior Day in impressive fashion with a 17-10 win over Edinboro on Saturday evening at McConnell Family Stadium. Woodworth took part in three of the first four goals, scoring the first goal and assisting on the third and fourth, as Gannon grabbed a 4-0 lead less than five minutes into the match. Parsons accounted for two of the goals.

Edinboro closed the match to 6-3 late in the first quarter before Schwartz scored off a feed from Woodworth for a 7-3 lead after one period. That seventh goal led to a stretch of eight out of the next nine goals as the lead expanded to 14-5 midway through the quarter.

The 15-5 halftime lead allowed head coach Jennifer Pawlowski to substitute liberally in the second half. Each team scored just once in the third quarter.
