BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Gannon women's lacrosse team continued its early season habit of falling behind early only to storm back and catch the opponent.
On Saturday, the deficit was too big for the Golden Knights to overcome as the Golden Knights trailed by seven goals midway through the second period and lost to PSAC opponent Bloomsburg 15-9 in a non-conference game at Steph Pettit Stadium.
In its first two games of the season, coach
Jennifer Pawlowski's Gannon team trailed by three goals and five goals and regrouped to take the lead in eventual 13-11 and 13-12 losses to Georgian Court and Molloy, respectively.
On Saturday, Gannon again made a second-half charge. GU scored the first three goals of the second half to close the deficit 9-5 and later scored two in a row to cut the lead to 13-9. However, the Golden Knights could get no closer as they dropped to 0-3 and the Huskies improved to 2-0.
