EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Three Gannon wrestlers won titles on Sunday as the Golden Knights placed second among seven teams in the PA Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships.

Chloe Kitagawa (Aliso Viejo, Calif./Aliso Niguel) (101 pounds),
Samira Stephens (Geismar, La./Dutchtown) (155) and
Jewel Gonzalez (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg) (170) won their weight classes for Gannon, which finished with 61 points. Host East Stroudsburg won the team championship with 90 points thanks to their four individual champions.
Jayden Bazemore (Cypress, Texas/Cypress Ranch) (123) and
Annabelle Helm (Vancouver, Wash./Union) (170) turned in second-place finishes, while
Ariana Gonzalez (Cypress, Calif./John F. Kennedy) (136) and
Lili Ujfalvi (Kecskemet-heteny, Hungary/Bolyai Janos Secondary School) (143) placed third.
Kitagawa beat ESU's Hailey Delia 8-4 and defeated Alvernia's Nevaeh Blevins 8-0 to claim her title in a three-wrestler round robin.
Stephens received a first-round bye at 155 before edging Alvernia's Makayla Marrero-Mogel in the semifinals. She then claimed the title by topping Cedar Cred College's Draydon Charman 8-0.
Jewel Gonzalez (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg) claimed an 8-0 semifinal win over East Stroudsburg's Felisha Smith. She then faced teammate
Annabelle Helm (Vancouver, Wash./Union) in the championships match and defeated her teammate 6-1.
Helm had advanced to the title with two impressive wins. She claimed an 8-0 victory over Alvernia's Andrea Wilmoth in the quarterfinals before recording a 10-0 technical fall over East Stroudsburg's Damiana Racciatti in the semifinals.
Bazemore edged Kalli Roskos of Ursinus 5-4 in the quarterfinals and beat Bridgette Schoultz of Delaware Valley in the semifinals before losing in the 123-pound title match.
